Welcome 6th Grade Students!

You are in Room 208 for Language Arts, Social Studies, or Technology Elective. My name is Mrs. Pack and I will be one of your teachers for the year. I invite you to make yourself at home in this classroom, provided that you follow a few simple rules for good behavior…

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS FOR BEHAVIOR:
1. Be on time and prepared.
2. Be an active learner.
3. Be respectful of everyone and everything.

If you are using computers in this classroom, there are also a few guidelines you must follow while doing so…

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS FOR COMPUTER USAGE:
1. Be on task at all times. No applications other than the one we are working in should be open.
2. Be a hard worker. Use your time wisely and remember that work will be easier with Mrs. Pack and your fellow students to help you when you need it.
3. Be fully charged. You are responsible for making sure that your computer is charged and ready for use each day.
4. Be proactive. Before you ask Mrs. Pack a technical question, you must first check with two other students closest to you to see if they know the answer.

A FEW SUPPLIES YOU WILL NEED:
Notebook/Binder
Loose Paper (not in a spiral notebook)
Pencils
Colored Pencils

WAYS FOR YOU OR YOUR PARENTS TO CONTACT MRS. PACK:
The easiest way to contact me in case you have a question about homework is to send me an email. I have Internet access at my home and take the time to check my email several times every night. You could also call the school if it is before 3:30pm and the front desk can forward your call to my classroom. You can also post something on the Blog, but keep in mind that your post will not be confidential. If you forget what is for homework, check your Agenda or the Blog.
