Extra help with assignments and last minute answers to questions will be available every morning before school from 7:15-7:40AM.

Expectations for Computer Usage:
- 1. Be on task at all times. No applications other than the one we are working in should be open.
- 2. Be attentive. Listen to what Mrs. Pack is saying and watch what she is doing on the LCD projector during instruction. Begin the assignment when she tells you to do so.
- 3. Be a hard worker. Use your time wisely and remember that work will be easier with Mrs. Pack and your fellow students to help you when you need it.
- 4. Be proactive. Before you ask Mrs. Pack a technical question, you must first check with two other students closest to you to see if they know the answer.
- 5. Be fully charged. You are responsible for making sure that your computer is charged and ready for use each day.
Things You Can Do to Ace the CST
- 1. Get plenty of sleep the night before each day of the test.
- 2. Have breakfast the day of the test. Food = Brain Power
- 3. Take your time on the test, and read each question carefully.
- 4. Look for keywords and vocabulary you know in each question and the answer choices provided.
- 5. Use process of elimination to get rid of the answers that are definitely wrong.
- 6. Highlight or underline important points (main ideas) in each selection.
- 7. Check your test number and bubble in the correct number carefully when you are told to do so.
- 8. Be careful when you bubble in your answers - don't lose track of where you want to bubble!
- 9. Only answer the amount of questions you are told to complete on a given day.
- 10. Do not talk or distract others during the test. TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED.
- 11. Read each selection carefully, and read the questions before you begin reading the selection.
- 12. Read each poem on the test at least twice. Try to "translate" each line so you can figure out what the author is trying to say.
- 13. If you start to get nervous, breathe deeply a couple of times to calm down.

i found out that they had more land then us and their summers are almost the same, and I was so surprised that we had more rainfall then us even though we lived in the desert. They must have a lot of room because we have more people then them but we ahve less space.

We found out that both California and Saudi Arabia have temperatures over 100 degrees in the summer. What surprised us was that the population in California was VERY big. Another difference is that the religion in Saudi Arabia is Muslim and in California it is Catholic and Christian.

We found out that they have more land then us but we have more population of people. They Have about the same amount of average temperature for summer and winter as us. We have more rainfall than the do. We speak spanish and english and they speak arabic.

I found out there are so many things of my state and Saudi Arabian are different like the area, the latitude, and more. One of the differences is that California's religion is usually Christianity and Catholic, and the Saudi Arabian's religion is 90% Muslim. There is only a few similarities between both California and Saudi Arabian like their temperatures in the summer. I was really surprised that so many things are different between both of us!

I learned that Saudia arabia can get very hot and that saudia arabia is bigger than California. I also learned that their most popular religion is Islam.
They have a lot more land but less population as us. They have almost the same summer and winter temp. for here. The rainfall is a big difference, here in California its 38 in. there it's 4 in.

I found out that in Saudi their religion is Arabic Islamic and ares is Catholic and Christianty. I also found out that their summers are almost as hot as ares.
Saudi Arabia and California summer is over 100 degrees. They have less rainfall than us. We also don't speak the same language. There is more population in California than over there.
We learned that they both get really hot in the summer and the temperature goes up into the 100's. They had more square miles than us. Another similarity is that they are a desert. We have two different religions, they have the religion of Islam and we have Christianity.

I learned that were both kind of alike like we both speak english but we are still a lot different like they have more desert and we have a bigger population then them they have a 830,000 sq mile and we have 158,302.
