Expectations for Computer Usage:

- 3. Be a hard worker. Use your time wisely and remember that work will be easier with Mrs. Pack and your fellow students to help you when you need it.
- 4. Be proactive. Before you ask Mrs. Pack a technical question, you must first check with two other students closest to you to see if they know the answer.
- 5. Be fully charged. You are responsible for making sure that your computer is charged and ready for use each day.
Things You Can Do to Ace the CST
- 1. Get plenty of sleep the night before each day of the test.
- 2. Have breakfast the day of the test. Food = Brain Power
- 3. Take your time on the test, and read each question carefully.
- 4. Look for keywords and vocabulary you know in each question and the answer choices provided.
- 5. Use process of elimination to get rid of the answers that are definitely wrong.
- 6. Highlight or underline important points (main ideas) in each selection.
- 7. Check your test number and bubble in the correct number carefully when you are told to do so.
- 8. Be careful when you bubble in your answers - don't lose track of where you want to bubble!
- 9. Only answer the amount of questions you are told to complete on a given day.
- 10. Do not talk or distract others during the test. TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED.
- 11. Read each selection carefully, and read the questions before you begin reading the selection.
- 12. Read each poem on the test at least twice. Try to "translate" each line so you can figure out what the author is trying to say.
- 13. If you start to get nervous, breathe deeply a couple of times to calm down.

I think it was a great period of time when the mongols were in because they brought more than the country together. It was also good because there would be a lot of cultural diffusion, and when there is cultural diffusion there are a lot of good ideas. Also it was so big that they could let people come in into there country freely, without having any threat. That is why I think it was a good idea.
The Mongol rule was good for china because it helped china gain more land for the silk roads. It also helped them spread their inventions like the compass and the gunpowder. They also had allot of the Chinese government kept as is before they even came, like the government. They also made a capital in Beijing. That is why the Mongol take over was good for China.
It was good because it they really didn't change a lot of stuff and they took out stuff that they really didn't need,They opened up China to the rest of Asia. They did good things like expanded the Great Canal,built pavements,and other etc.
I think it was VERY good for China to let the Mongols rule. I think it was good for China because the Mongols gave China some great ideas that they would have never had if the Mongols didn't tae over. Some examples would be the Foreign contact without foreign contact people would always have to stay in our own country and wouldn't be able to go to Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa,or even South America! Yes, I think it was good that Mongols ruled. Trade and travel was safe. They would have a stronger army because the Mongol leaders were strong. Because the Mongols were strong the people would listen. That is why they ruled all of Asia.
I think that Mongol rule was good for China. First the Mongols established trade from over seas with more civilizations. Second Mongol rule made trading on land safe. Third the Mongols let people from other civilizations into China. Letting people into China showed the world what China was and how it was good because of Mongol rule.
I think that the Mongol empire was better for China because the Mongols opened up China to the world and let cultural diffusion in. They also made new inventions and contributions such as, paper, gunpowder, and porcelain. The Mongols let Confucian ideas stay strong and the Mongol officials adopted Confucius ideas in the government. Kublai Khan rebuilt the grand canal and extended it 135 miles north up to Bejing. He even made Beijing and Hangzhou together using a paved highway. Noticeably the Mongol Empire did a lot of things that made China a big success.
I think that the Mongol rule was good for China because first, it made China's trade expand. It also expanded its borders. It also opened it up a little so that people from the outside could come into China. All in all, I think it was good for China.
During the period of time that the mongols ruled was a good time for China. First of all trade increased. This was a result of China opening up more and welcoming in traders. Also because of this cultural diffusion was widened out. Secondly the Empire was more united. Instead of several civilizations in China Central Asia was under rule by one emperor and they were a unified Empire. All in all China needed the Mongol's to step in and be good leaders and that is exactly what they did. Mongol rule was good for Central Asia.
I think it was good because the rebuilt the Great Canal, pavements, silk roads, they brought China together, they also let people come in China without any order, they also made the Capital of Biejing, thats why Mogol's took over China witch was a really good thing to do.
I think that the Mongol empire was a good thing for China because it became more open to the world. The reason was because the Kublia Khan let many foreign people come to China and trade. Also China had many of there trade routes rebuild which made it safer for people to trade. China also encouraged sea trade were many of China's ships crossed over lots of seas. Also helped keep in contact with all of foreign people and cultures like India and Persia

I think that the mongol rule was a good idea because they were the ones that conquered china so they can make it China bigger and it helped it to gain more land and silk for the silk roads so they had more cultural diffusion and gave china more ideas it was also easier to trade and it was safer. Inventions and Contributions were some things that was new. Those were some things that the Mongols gave to China because without the Mongols China wouldn't really change as much.

Hi, Its Jaclyn sorry I was not here today because I am sick. I probably will be going to school on Tuesday. Also what pages did we read in class today and is there any work that i can do. I am also going to come to school early, to make up my work.
I think the Mongol's rule, was good for China in many different ways. For example the trade increased a lot, trading things they have surplus of, and getting supplies they have less of. Also, the invention of paper money so people will go to far away places and not have to carry heavy things like gold, so that was a good thing. ANother thing is they expanded the boarder and almost has all of Asia. That is why the Mongol rule was a good thing for China.
