Reminder: Parent Conferences

Miss Plutschuck and I will be meeting in Room 208 tomorrow (Thursday) for Parent Conferences between the hours of 12:00 and 3:00pm and again from 4:00 to 7:00pm. We are available to you to talk about the academic and behavioral performance of your students. This is the perfect opportunity to address any questions or concerns you might have. THERE ARE NO CONFERENCES IN DECEMBER. THE NEXT PARENT CONFERENCES WILL BE IN APRIL. If you are unable to make Thursday's conferences, please call the school or us to set up a private conference time.

Wednesday: Spelling worksheet on -ence and -ance words. Finish revising your first draft and write a second draft of your narrative. Be ready to have your paper graded by a classmate tomorrow.

Progress Reports

Hello Parents and Guardians!

Today your child should bring home a progress report for each of his or her classes (Language Arts, Social Studies, and/or Technology). I printed out the progress reports from my Zangle Gradebook, which you can view using Zangle Parent Connect. (If you have not already done so, please pick up your Zangle Parent Connect password and identification from the office during school hours.) The progress reports detail your student's academic performance to date. All papers have been graded and are include in the overall grade shown on the reports. Please sign and have your child return the progress reports tomorrow. One signature per report is required, so if your student has me for two classes, you must sign two reports for them to return.

Thursday: Finish your Reading Companion completely. Answer ALL questions in complete sentences. (Use this to study for the test tomorrow.) Write a short story using all 14 spelling words correctly. If you did not get your progress report signed, do so tonight.

Wednesday: Finish your map activity for Mesopotamia, including the questions at the bottom of the page. Answer all the questions in complete sentences. Get your progress report signed by a parent or guardian.
Thursday: Period 7 Only - Finish the Vocabulary Matrix for the words Mesopotamia, floodplain, and silt. DO NOT finish the rest. If you did not get your progress report signed, do so tonight.
